Tavern Blacksmith’s Guild

We are an all-volunteer group that follows the old ways of creating metal items for sale and personal use. In addition to commissioned work, we enjoy teaching others the long-lost craft and local history of Blacksmithing.

Dan’s Forge

The Blacksmith Forge was the dream of a volunteer named Dan Purvis. Unfortunately Dan passed away before the building was completed in 2005.

The Heathsville Blacksmith Forge is set up with a working coal forge powered by a manual bellows. The Guild fashions all types of metal work; from nails to garden gates. Much of their work is custom requests. The guild is pleased to have you work on a project, if hammering metal is your thing or could be—come and visit the Blacksmith Shop.
